I use my Whaler in the western region of the Strait of Juan de Fuca where there's a lot of rain and fog. I need to install windshield wipers on my Revenge, but could use some advise on how to do it. Should it be a windshield, or deck mount? I've noticed that the Revenge shown on p.44 of Cetecea, belonging to Jim P., has a windshield mount. Jim, how were the mounting holes drilled through the windshield frame without breaking the glass? All help will be appreciated.

After I clicked the windshield wiper post I realized that it should be in "Repairs/Mods". Maybe it could be transferred?

Russ -

I replaced my windshield wiper motor 2 years ago, so got a good chance to look at it up close. The mounting hole was ABOVE the windshield glass, so no interference. I think there is also a pre drilled hole on the port side for a second windshiled wiper... but it never rains here (only 90"/year!) Can't get you much more info as the boat is still under cover. The wires are also run along an internal track (behind the top of the windshield) that has a rubber or plastic cover.

On my 1987 Revenge the original decal/sticker is still intact on the windshield, showing it was made by Taylor-Made. You might be able to get more information about rigging it for wipers from them.
