My 84 13.5 whaler still has the fantom numbers of prior registration. They begin with the letters CF. The boat was called the SANDOLLAR. Can anyne tell me where CF is? I don't recognize the identification.

California is a surprise. I thought the numbers would have been CA? Thanks if that's infact the correct answer, it's been from one coast to the other(FL).

These boat state identification letters are often not the same as the 2 letter mailing id's. I know Michigan is MC rather than MI, and Wisconsin is WS rather than WI.
I think the system was developed long before the 2 letter state ID's for mailing came into use.

California was using CF on boats long before the
Post Office decreed CA. In a shootout between
Bureauocracies, the DMV is gonna win over the
Purchase our Licensed Version- which adds many more features!
