I just aquired a 1970 Nauset. I am buying a used trailer: 18 foot. Carpted bunks, roller keel, tilt-load. Is there a good rule of thumb spacing for the bunks? Can anyone point me to a source for the proper initial adjustment procedure? Thanks!

I suggest http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/trailering/trailer.html as a good place to start.

The transom of my boat is right over the last keel roller and the bunk spacing is 18 inches from center.
