Eventually I want to restore my 1983 Revenge 22 to "perfect" condition. There are a few gouges on the keel--nothing serious--but also a goodly number of little dings and scratches on the hull. Has anyone out there had a re-gel coat job done on a boat this size? How much? Topside I can handle myself.

I think it might be better to repair each ding and scratch rather than recoat the whole boat. Are recoats ever as good as the original?

rsgwynn1,

I concur with Taylor's recommendation. Perhaps you can locate someone to repair the gelcoat, then pay a professional who specializes in gelcoated boats to buff, polish and wax the entire hull. The detailing will probably run several hundred dollars, but I think it's money well spent.

Good luck!

Paul

nuaset is crazed everywhere including blue non skid deck floor. is it possible to end up with a regel that isn't heartbreaking? time isn't a factor - this will be a motor and rails off and console out - money is moderate. any suggestions on who is able in north florida? thanks
