Test drove the new Montauk on Thursday and purchased it on Friday. Was the only one on the lot and has the 90ELPT with the fishing package. I suggest if you see one and you are in the market, snatch it up because they are moving fast. Both motors are great so don't let that stop you. Purchase the 3yr extended warranty for peace of mind. The dealer was not willing to dicker on the price of the boat but cut half the cost of the warranty from $750 to $350. It truly is a great boat. Tracks well in the water. The adjustment to the chines makes for a dry and much more comfortable ride. The added length and beam gives the room and feel of some 19's in the market. Fit and finish is BW all the way. I told myself before buying not to get anything but 4 stroke Yammaha, I have yet to kick myself in the butt. Of course, as with all things, a few options could have been added, changed or left alone but I think this leaves it open for each and every one of us to personalize our boats. The redesigned hull must be more efficient in the water because performance charts prove to be true. Get the bow cushion, bimini and have some cushions made for little jump seats at the stern, this makes for the most comfortable Montauk yet. Try one on, the dealers love the little boat so much they are dieing to go for a spin.
