Just purchased a 1980-13 ft. sport. The steering wheel insert(center) is missing. Anyone know where to get one? Thx. Rich

If you need a teak center insert you can get them at for $4.00 each. Under key word search just enter Teak insert, Destroyer Wheel. Hope this works for you.

I too just purchased a 1980 13 ft Sport Classic. My steering wheel insert is missing also. I remember mine being plastic with the words "Sport Classic" in the center. I don't know if that was the original or not. If it is, maybe someone out there knows where to get the plastic one.

All these wheels were made by Grant, and I think they still would have these inserts available. I know that they used to offer their wheels with a choice of either teak or black plastic. By 1986, BW had switched from the teak to black plastic as standard issue.

You might also check with a dealer. More recent boats have a cap with the "Whaler" logo on it. But don't know if they fit the Grant wheels.
