Some of my fondest memories of playing with Whalers was from my days at Camp Sea Gull, located on the Neuse River in NC.
The Camp has a fleet of approx thirty 13's with 9.9s, acouple of Montauks, and six 15ss for skiing. It got better when I was a staff member becasue I drove 15s all day either pulling skiers or crashing through the waves when it was too rough to ski.
Any other Sea Gull Alumni on the site?

Im not a alumni,...but I live aprox. 9 miles from it. Im from Grantsboro and I pass the camp all the time to take the ferry in Minnesott beach. I sometimes cruise by your old stomping ground in my 22 foot Whaler (Gaurdian). That whole area is buetiful. Take care!!!

I was accepted to be a counselor one year during my college career because the debutante that I was dating was an alumnus and her parents were patrons (or friends, or something like that) of the Camp. Turns out that I was ultimately unable to go, but from all that I heard and saw, I would have loved to go there as a youngster.
A camp where you just boat, sail, play tennis and ride horses? Can you get any closer to heaven on earth?
