posted 05-14-2002 11:38 PM ET (US)         What a shame. I was down in Virginia Beach over the weekend and stopped in to the Whaler dealer to pick up some parts that I needed. When I’m there I like to go out back and see what’s new in the used boat yard. Back there in the yard I found what I believe to be a Sakonnet with the forward deck platform. The big thing wrong with it is that all the wood has been given a very bad powder white paint job. I don’t even think they used a brush. It looks more like they used a sponge and wiped the paint on. Too bad, I bet that thing used to look real nice at one time. Montana
