May 24 -- My yard in Denver is covered with snow, but my Whaler is loaded and ready to go! And I thought you folks on the UP had long winters.

7:30 am and still snow on the ground at 5,000 feet: Next week at this time look for Shadowcatcher in the vicinity of Cape Haze, Fla. I'll be southbound on the ICW to Villers seafood in Ft. Meyers. -- Yahoo!

Have fun.

It was interesting to see the 3 inches of snow on my pickup this morning when I went outside this morning up in Broomfield. It was good since we are in the middle of a drought and the fires in the mountains have been very bad so far this year. The fire fighting planes out of Jeffco airport have been getting a real workout.

Have a safe trip and catch a few for me.

It is snowing again here at 5500 ft. Bizarre.

Don't know if I will fish this weekend...If so, I shouldn't have to worry about water skiers.

South Florida has a steamy 85-90 high next week. It's supposed to rain all weekend, so it will be nice and humid for you. Atleast it is finally raining, my yard was about to dry up and blow away.

Dr. T,

Do you have a Whaler up there in Broomfield? I keep an 18' Outrage parked here on Larimer Street. It should be named "Road Dog" with the amount of miles I travel for good boating -- Lake Powell, Brainerd, Minn. & SW Florida.

I keep a 82 13 Sport in my garage. It makes the car sleep outside.

I use it locally. I will probably keep it up in Steamboat for about a month this summer.

Well if it makes you feel any better, I am usually swimming, ok dipping, in Georgian Bay, which is the body of water east of Lake Huron by this time of the season.
I have been up to the island cottage in Sans Soucis three times and have been snowed, sleeted, hailed, and rained upon. I have yet to see any sunny 60 degree days. Is anyone having a great, sunny, hot spring?
Bring it on!!

Thanks for the weather reports. It's the adventure boating I dig with my Outrage 18. Georgian Bay sounds great.

Where2 -- It's been dry here too, already had several forest fires as the DR. mentioned. I have noticed Florida gets its share of wildfire also. This surprised me the first time I went down there several years ago.

On a more pressing issue - Are stone crab claws in season now?

Thanks, --Brian
