Can anyone advise me as to the differences between a 1985 and a 1986 22 foot Revenge? I am looking at a 1985 but I don't think it has a walk through wind screen. I have seen pics on this website showing the 1986 model that does have a fold over windshield.

Also, was the Revenge built for an outboard engine?

Thanks in advance

Greg

Greg,

Starting in 1985 the 22' Revenge (as well as the 25' Revenge) changed to the Revenge Walk-Through model. As you note the windshield changed to allow the opening center section as well as became wider allowing more room at the helm.

The bow pulpit is not necessarily standard equipment. There are a few Walk-Through models without it.

The 22' Revenge was built for outboards, either single or twin. There is also a Whaler Drive model which has a bracket and higher horsepower ratings. I believe there are some inboard/outboard models as well. There are even Gil bracket and SeaDrive versions with full transoms.

If the boat you are looking at is the older Revenge model, I suspect it is a 1984 model. The HIN (Hull Identification Number) on the transom will tell you what month and year it was built as well as the model year of that boat.
