any pros or cons on where to install antennea on an 18

antenna (sorry). No t top, I have it on the console now which is great for fishing, but limits use of bimini.

Put the antenna at the forward end on the gunwale board on a ratchet mount. Placed towards the outside of the gunwale board it will be foldable either forward of backward and clear the bow rail and any canvas system you have mounted.

The antenna cable will easily pass through the gunwale board and route to the console via the backside of the fuel hose cover and the tunnel.

attach it to the base of the skull...just kidding. i have had alot of luck with those stainless "whip" type with the collector at the bottom. they are only 36in. high and can be accepted on a antenna swivel. they are easily attached to the side or top of the console making it possible to put the boat cover on. they list at about $59.00 i think, steve out.
