New general topic…How do t-top owners stay dry in the rain? I don't think I have seen a canvas setup for a t-top Outrage or t-top CC-Cudy. Can this be done? Are t-tops only for you sunny southern boaters? Are they outlawed in Seattle and Maine? Pete

You can have 3 even 4 sided enclosers made. Custom could range between $250 - $600 cc |

Pete- "sunny Southern boaters?" We've got plenty of rain down here. A week ago Saturday managed to get caught in a nasty squall line over the ICW- forgot to take my clear vinyl T top surround- got my you know what kicked. Water everywhere. Kids, wife, dogs under the dodger largely dry but not the captain. When I'm smart enough to take the vinyl surround it zips in up under the t top. Usually, I bungee cord around the base of the surround where it snaps to the t top posts, about at the top of the small console. Usually, it gets stowed in the front fish locker of the 22' OR. One set up, there are others. David |

Pete, You have seen them in the bay and offshore. Go look at Gas House Cove or Marina Green. Whaler, Gradys, Aquasport and Makos. My OR cuddy has full enclosure that snaps to cuddy and sides. Drop curtain off the rear. Used it this weekend with that 25kt wind off Drakes Bay. Pushes you around like a sail, but keep you dry and no wind-burn! I still have the prop for your merc if interested. Andy. |

Guys,Just joking around a bit. Yes I have seen boats rigged up, just not on here. I assume whaler did not have T’s as a factory options (maybe they did) so there was never (Mills) t-top factory canvas to go with them... Pete

Outlawed in Seattle? Yes, if the sun is out, you are supposed to be in it. You can be fined for having a bimini up on sunny days. RCW (Revised Code of Washington) 11.2.5.112. |
