I have a 88 Outrage 18ft in mint condition. It has the regular t post anchor cleat on the front. I have seen (one 86 18ft outrage on this web site)a nicer one offered that combines the t post into a beautiful single casting that has a nice base that extends out over the rub rail to protect the rub rail from an anchor line. Anyone have any ideas on where I could buy or find one of these

If your boat is a 1988 then it originally had the Marinium bow bit with integral chafe guard.
Whaler stopped using the off-the-shelf bow bits in 1982 or 1983 when they had Wilcox-Crittenden build custom made ones for the big Whalers. These are made of an aluminum alloy called Marinium and were very well cast and finished.
You will have a very difficult time finding one now. They are no longer made. Ebay is one place you might keep an eye on. A lot of stuff shows up there. Keep an eye on the Marketplace section of the FORUM as well. I haven't seen one for sale yet but you never know.
Be aware that the different hull sizes like the 18, 22 and the 25 do not necessarily use the same bow bit even though they look identical. They are slightly different sizes and have different Whaler part numbers.

Tom's above response is another example of the incredible wealth of knowledge of such intricate detail that is found on this site. I am constantly amazed. I wouldn't have even known where to start to look for the info he provided. Thanks!
