I cannot find the posting that discussed pricing on the classic 15 foot and 17 foot hulls. They are available from BW aren't they? Anyone know the prices ? |

If you are looking for a new classic hull, I think they are available form the commercial division of Whaler. Try a word search using "commercial" and see what you get. |

BW site doesn't let me access commercial stuff for some reason. Also, they won't have pricing there.... I know someone on this forum bought a 15 bare hull, and had posted pricing here somewhere, unless perhaps I got the info via e-mail from him.... Well, we'll see what pops up... thanks for the help. |

BW used to have a click through to either recreational or commercial divisions, but the took it away for some reason. Anyhow, this will get you there: http://www.bostonwhaler.com/cgp/default.asp I called and spoke with Dave Clair about pricing on a 15 bare hull (called the 15 Alert, but not actually listed on the site). He had someone else call me back, whose name I cannot remember. Price was $4,800. FYI, these can only be set up as a side console; they do not have the rigging tunnel for center console setup. For about $7,500 you can get an Alert 17--also side console only--and may include some plastic thwart seats and possibly a basic side console. For about $14k you can get a Guardian 17, which is a Montauk style CC setup, though it does not use the Montauk console. Console is probably similar to this: http://home.att.net/~james-o/MVC-005F.JPG See listing by jameso in marketplace right now. Hope this info generally accurate and ultimately helpful. |

Boston Whaler has changed their site. They now use a Logo-link, to access their Commercial & Goverment Products. Same URL, different and hard to notice, link: "Commercial Customers Only" http://www.whaler.com/cgp/default.asp I guess they don't want to sell their boats to anyone but the Government or Commercial Users... |

Thanks to all for the responses. I still get a blank screen at the URL described. The BW blurb is on the left side of the screen, but the main area stays blank and browser says "document done" ??? Guess they don't want us there any more.... |

Well, I finally got in.... They sure make it difficult.... Still had to e-mail them for specs on the Alert 15, since the link doesn't give specs for it (just on 17' and up). At least there's a picture. It appears to be the same hull/mold they've used since the '80's... |
