I'm repainting the bottom AGAIN and I'm thinking of adding a red boot stripe to compliment the black paint.

Where can I get red striping that lasts as long as the black striping that came on the boat?

Any stripping tape. I do not know of any difference between auto and marine, just get a good...new....tape. If you buy the closeout stuff that is laying around, it won't last. The problem I have on Whalers is the bow. I can NEVER get anything to stick in the corners on the trihulls, therefore I hate to tape just the sides and transom. Also sometimes with bottom paint you have to cover the paint to keep the stripe straight and it does not like to stick to bottom paint...nothing does, hence the reason....nevermind:)

I did my buds Robalo and it lasted for years. If yours does not, try using red paint. They actually make paint called "boot stripe" paint and is used for that.....nevermind:)
