http://content.surfline.com/sw/content/video/index.jsp Check out this video of a whaler, would not want to be in a Bayliner doing this. (A surfer is in the first 1/2 of the video then the whaler). |

That is some great footage, but that is not a whaler. |

Was that the legs of the guy inthe front flying up? Reminds me of the Bigshot picture--on steroids! Not a whaler, but I don't think it has to be on here anymore. |

Pretty cool... I did the same with my 25 footer while collecting water samples along Huntington Beach... a little wave surprised me... nothing like the video. Mine you... I had a lifeline pre-rigged to the lifeguard boat on standbye alerrt and my kicker running just in case. But the 25 is so heavy it didn't get vertical. I still lost my phone via wave off the console. It would have been interesting if he hadn't got his engine going and a breaker rrally to hit the stern. Good bye boat hello surf. Twin engines anyone. |

Didn't Bigshot post the famous picture of the flying montauk--pointing straight up in the air like a rocket ship? |

Dave--Perhaps you are thinking of Tom Clark's contribution of an outstanding airborne 18-Outrage. See http://continuouswave.com/whaler/cetacea/cetaceaPage40.html |

I believe Dave got confused because this picture is listed as by Bigshot on another site. |

Yep, Jim, that's it--I thought it was Bigshot flying across Tampa Bay. A great picture, I think. |

Looks like an old AMF era Robalo. That stuff is fun in a 21ft Zodiac! phatwhaler out. |

Oh, that’s just great. First Dick E can’t tell a Robalo from a Whaler, then Dave Adams can’t tell an Outrage from a Montauk and THEN he can’t tell Bigshot from me. Oy veh! (insert smiley here) |
