Christmas has come early - our 1990 Outrage 22' arrived at our home in Rhode Island today. She was shrink wrapped and trucked from 960 miles away (from her freshwater home in northern most Michigan). We are really psyched! How many more days until spring anyway?

Is that the 22 from Harbor Springs? The boat belonged to a good friend of one of my business partners!

Congratulations on the new boat!

So did you unwrap it or are you waiting for Christmas? ;-)

lhg, I believe you are correct.

In which case, I think that this is it http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/bburtensha/bwo/90BW22OR.jpg

Barry: small world, lhg is correct. either my computer isn't downloading your picture correctly, or that is one really bad picture of my beautiful gelcoaot. honest, its really shiny. can't you post a nicer picture? and yes, i have already cut a few "viewing holes" in the shrink wrap--couldn't wait till christmas! looks great.

Hi BWO,
We brought our Michigan OR back to Massachusetts just this past October, but it is only the little sister to yours (a 1993 OR 17). You'll love the total absense of any sign of the typical salt water environment's effects. I also got an Eagle trailer, as you did. They have a nice web site at http://www.eagletrailer.com/ Supposedly, if you send them the trailer ID numbers, they will tell you all about its origins, proper paint match, etc. I had my 22 year old son go out and tow it back - He's a U. Michigan guy and that let him get to a football game and some frat parties, but he still managed to get it home in one piece. The trailer is very impressive, a lot like the BW that sits on it. Feels as if you could tow it anywhere without a second thought - all welded, big cross-beam dimensions, nice big steps in front and back of the wheels, low-slung for good center of gravity, etc. Only potential issue for us is that it is painted, not galvanized, although Imostly launch into the Charles River. I thought it looked as if the boxed rails were sealed, so that no water would get inside, but that is no the case. There are drain holes on underside of rails, and when you pull it out, you will see water flowing out of them. i am planning to ask Eagle about preventive steps for using it in salt, and will post anything useful I get back. As an alternative, I am thinking about installing a flushing port on the forward rails, to use with a hose to flush the inside of rails. I'd like the trailer to last as long as I expect to keep this OR (say 20 yrs?) Anyway, best of luck - I'm jealous of the bigger OR, but limited by goal of trailering with a Volvo

David: I read your reply to my wife, thanks. It certainly helped me to justify the expense to her (and it got me even more psyched for spring).

006: Thanks for the Eagle trailer tips. If you head over to Newport, let me know so we can get the "freshwater Michigan boats" together.
