Hall’s web site is not working and has not been for a while. What color combination (seat and piping) do they carry for Montauks? And also what is their phone number? I will be ordering me a new cushion tomorrow, Friday, (Yeah!) for my RPS and would like to get a seat for $200 instead of $225 from Dave’s. Is there a difference between those two? Thanks a lot, Archie

Archie,Lois will do whatever colors you want. For the 1973 to mid 1990's Desert Tan Whalers you want Parchment with Brown piping, but she can also do parchment/black, parchment/parchment, white/white, white/black or whatever else you might want. These are all done with the original fabrics that came on the Whalers when they were new. You will not be disappointed with her work. It is top notch, as good or better than original. |

I have a Halls 162 Qt cooler cushion in my boat, recently purchased. It looks nice, but I have unexpectedly encountered the problem of "wet pants" when sitting on it, sometimes hours after a rain, etc. Of course, this is after having wiped the surface dry several hours before. For some reason, it wicks water through the tan pleat fabric for days. Water must be getting into the foam. Never had this problem with whaler cushions before. This does not happen with the Hall's RPS cushion. |

The Dan's Upholstery cushions I've purchased have the foam secured inside a visqueen (sp?) "bag" inside the outter vinyl to avoid wet foam. Would think that was SOP for any manufacturer of marine cushions. May have been an oversight before stiching up your cushion. Call the manufacturer. |
