I'm curious to know if anyone has any experience of knowledge of this bottom coat alternative. I inquired about it and received this reply:

Jim, Adsil sells two protective boat coatings. First is the top of the deck: AS-209 Polish. It is an hydrophobic (one agent) type of clear coat. It prevents fouling of the top boat surfaces. It works very well on gel coated boats like yours. Secondly is AD-100, the bottom protective coat, for easy foul release. It is a hardened olegomeric siloxane, three part, hydrophobic, clear coat. These coatings are put on through a marina. We recommend Garrison Bight in Key West
We require a trained applicator to do the job as a great bit of hull preperation is required. The hull must be ultra clean, otherwise the AD, locks in the dirt!

We do not guarantee coatings on surfaces that are not in and of themselves guaranteed. This is to say, a coating can only be taken to be as good as its substrate. One can expect the coating to be: clear, look like glass, be easier to clear what fouling that does occur, be fully hydrophobic and to increase the boats performance as long as it is on the boat (it does not cut down boat performance like the Pettit and Interlux paints do:do to increased drag do to their rough textures), Adsil coatings are glass smooth; not be polluting as Adsil is inerrt once applied and even approved to be in potable water systems(AD-65). Adsil coatings do not pollute the water like the Petitt and Interlux paints do, which have warning labels on the cans stating that they kill marine life. Additionally Interlux and Pettit bottom coats are at all times toxic to humans, until exhausted (see University of California Sea Grant Report on www.boatbottoms.com ).

Any thoughts?
