I finally added pictures to my Web site of my latest projects. I used whalersman’s drawing to make teak rod holders for my console and here are pictures of the progress. I made two sets and finished one and installed it on my boat. Also I am making cushions for my boat and have updates on that. It is not like original but still better than what was on it before. I have not installed the rod holder cushions but have them almost finished. Will make a bow cushion, ice chest cushion and one day a rear seat. I installed the RPS back cushion without drilling holes in it, and it has starboard spacers to protect the teak from the mounting screws through the ½ inch openings. I will eventually get more pictures and add to the site of the whole boat. I also just lately added a bow mounted Motorguide tiller handle trolling motor on the outside of the bow rails. All cabin fever projects. Thanks, Archie

Very nice job on the cushions and rod holders. And a super clean boat! I'm not familiar with the throttle set up on your boat. Why do you have 2 levers? That is a very clean console as well. I bet you can't wait to get it dirty.

Thanks for the nice comments. The controls are Morse 2 lever, one shift and one throttle. I really have to guard it from my 3-year boy when we are out so that there are no surprises. Archie

I love dual level controls, I feel like I have more control. In my opinion you should check out the replace knobs that they have in silver and gold. They real make a console shine. My 2 cents.

My boat is a 1978 with smirk. As for as I know it is all original (well the console is). The ice chest is a 94 qt. I was thinking about getting 74 but instead got the 94. I also bought a 94 qt mount from Whaler for the floor. I do like the dual controls. It is nice to have the throttle separate from the shifter. The motor will never die on you unexpectedly because your hand is on the throttle at all times. I have never thought of replacing the knobs. Good idea. Archie
