So it is great that this is here. Let me tell you about out Whaler. My grandfather used to have a big boat, I am not sure what kind and was past commodore of the yacht club. well one day back in 1966/67 ish a rep from BW came to the club with this new type of boat and took him onto the bay. there were 3 sections on the boat, my grandfather was on the bow, then there was the console, and the rep was on the stern. the rep released the clips and the 3 parts seperated and they all stayed afloat. my grandfather bought it on the spot. it is a 1967, center console and it now has a 90 evinrude on her. great boat and it is now in my dad's possession, which he goes for flounder every weekend, I try as often as I can. I remember stories that my grandfather told me that he took it out to the canyons off the NJ coast. funny stuff. well, anyway, I am going to look around the forums a little bit. Walt

Big Walt - Welcome! I think you'll find this site very informative, and sometimes it is really entertaining too! Keep your eyes open for postings from the oldtimers - because the value-of-advice to typed-comments ratio some of these guys put out is incredible. Be sure to check out the photos on Cetecea, and visit the reference section to find out more about your boat. Welcome aboard. Dave |
