posted 03-28-2003 07:25 PM ET (US)         I need to refinish my 1968 Sakonnet deck platform. It is painted fur, and the salt water has finally taken its toll on the paint. Any suggestions for for the proper primer and paint to use? I did this once before and the marine paint I used just didn't hold up to the salt water - even though I only have the boat in the water 15 days a year-maximum and wash the platform deck with clean water after every trip. The paint started to peel within 3 years. Appreciate any help!
