i am considering selling my 18' outrage in order to buy an 18' ventura. The reason is primarily due to the fact that since moving from the coast and spending more time on the lakes, this might be a more practical boat with the family. Can anyone talk me into or out of doing this.

Never had an outrage so I cannot really compare. I do have an 18' Ventura and use it on Lakes and Rivers. Cruising, Waterski and some attempt at fishing. I am very pleased with the boat. Not particularly happy with the drivers seat height but overall am very happy with the vessel. nice and roomy for a family of 4 and a couple of kids for guests. In and out at the ramp pretty painlessly Family is also pleased. Have a 135 Opti on it. This is considered a "Post Classic" you might get better response from that side of the fence. Most of the Classic owners consider the Ventura a high priced Sea Ray. Which it very well may be. I concede they may not make em like they used to. But it's still a pretty nice boat. |
