I am considering buying a trailer for my 1990 '19 Outrage w/ 130 Yamaha ob. Local dealer sells Load-Rite, what model should I look at? Thanks.--Will

You should buy one with a 2800lb carrying capacity. This is a common size, since it relates to the tire/axle/spring industry standards, using 205/75/R14 tires, load Range C and a 3500lb axle. The 3500lb represents the total load, including trailer weight. |

Personally whatever you get a good deal on that is ALUMINUM. Galvinized is fine but aluminum is lighter and looks bad-ass. Get the setup like Larry describes and get the torsion axle, you won't be disappointed in the extra couple bucks. The 17-19' 2800lb will be perfect and about $1500. I run the same trailer on my Montauk and even though I am that much lighter, the torsion axle makes it ride like a cadillac.....no bounce. |
