At the end of last season, while winterizing, we discovered that we'd let some water sit (untreated) in our freshwater holding tank. Did it ever stink! Can anyone advise on how to go about cleaning out the tank? I've heard of a bleach & baking soda mixture, but don't know what the ration is or whether that is truly the best method for cleaning the tanks.
Thanks,
Lor

Should have mentioned, I am a fellow Whaler owner and, although I haven't posted in awhile, I have previously supported this site. Thanks for your help. :-)

A mild bleach solution is recommended to clean home humifiers on a bi-weekly basis, so it should be good for holding tanks. Mold and bacteria will not survive the chlorine bath.
