I just bought a 15' 1970 Sears v-bottom boat with a 35 hp Evinrude motor
(2-cycle). The woman I bought it from said the gas/oil mixture is 60:1. I would like to find a manual for it on line but everything costs denaro. Where can I find one on line? If not I will go to the local library. Any information, tips, or repairs about this particular boat would be helpful. Thank You In Advance. Margaretann

Howdy, Standwith.

I am curious what made you post your questions on a site dedicated to Boston Whalers.

First, we need to know the year of your engine. Get the Model number off the plate on the mounting clamp.

If the engine is pre-1964 your fuel mix is 24:1, after that it is 50:1. Some people get away with leaner mix, but these are the factory specified ratios.

Once we know the model year, your best source of inexpensive User/Owner Manuals is Ebay.

An excellent site to get outboard advice is iboats Bulletin Board. www.iboats.com

Let us know.
