I have a 1982 Outrage with a leaking fuel tank. Can anyone tell me where to get a replacement, and how long it takes to get ?

Thanks

Yes, call Florida Marine in Miami and ask for Javier Blanco. 1-305-620-9030. My order was three weeks to a bit over one month out, althought I ordered in two winter's past.

Best

Did you have to take the tank out to get the model numbers from it before you ordered ?

Florida Marine says they need the model number, and mine look so bad I don't know if they will be recoverable.

How much ?

xsailor - Having the same problem with my 1974 Outrage. I emailed Chuck Bennett (cbennett@whaler.com) at BW and he provided a part number that FMT immediatly quoted from.

As a follow up - what is the bset procedure for removing the bad tank from the cavity without prying against the gelcoat? I've thought about attaching some kind of lifting eye and using a chain hoist / come along to lift the thing out... Any comments..?

Thanks Al, Note is on the way to Chuck. Hate to take the Whaler out of service for over a month waiting for the new tank (using 20 gal deck tank), and hate to think of removing consoule twice - once to get order info, once to replace !

x,
Keep us updated as to your tank replacement. I just pulled the floor out of a 20v 1978 Outrage and replaced all the lines while inspecting the tank. I still have a little water in the tank I am tring to get rid of but other than that, it looks good.
