I saw a 15' rigged for the flats at usedwhalers.com and just wondered if anyone had heard anything about Whaler making a flats boat. Doesn't Porsche make an SUV now? Who would have thought...? |

I'm pretty sure whaler did not make them from the factory. I've seen two or three of them. People turn them into flats boats on there own. |

No Flats Edition Whalers, but they did do some Cross Tackle Fly Fishing Editions, that are really rare, probably the rarest Whalers I would imagine? Jack. |

I put a poling platform on my 15'er. I like the CC idea. This site has a "flats" Montauk with poling platform if anyone is interested: http://www.reel-time.com/feature/richardson/flats/ |

That boat was listed in the boattrader months ago. It looks like it may be one of those rare times when a redone Whaler actually came out nice. Who knows? phatwhaler out. |

The Cross-Tackle was designed by Janis'(Draftmanswife) husband Tom. Neat boat but did not sell very well $$$$$. |

I have a 13 Sport rigged for Flats Fishing. It is listed in the Marketplace Forum and can be view at: http://www.naples-fl.com/Boat_For_Sale/boat_for_sale.html The boat performs great in the shallows and the platform makes for a nice seat when trout fishing in the Panhandle waters of Florida.
