I've got a 170Montauk that I'd like to mount my Walker Kingfisher-2 downriggers to, but I'm unsure how to go about it. I'd rather not have a board across the stern and lose all that usable space. And I'm suspect of a rail mount being able to handle the stress of a 12lb cannonball being dragged at 100+ feet. How/where do you guys mount your riggers on your Montauks? Thanks in advance!

I use the rail mount system on my Montauk and there is no stress on the rails.
I'll e-mail you a couple pictures.

The e-mail address in your profile doesn't work.

Hi Dick,

Hmm...the email in my profile is correct, I even copied and pasted it and sent a test email and it worked so I'm not sure what happened. I'd really love to see those pictures! Maybe the size of the email file was too big? Could you send each pic individually? Sorry for the problem, I appreciate your effort. Just knowing that a rail mount works for you is a big help. Thanks.

I just read the return message again. The mail was returned because of an illegal attachment. The file is a photo album in exe format, some systems won't accept exe files.
I will send them individualy as jpgs.
