Have '87 Montauk and '66 Sakonnet the needs almost everyting and is in process of getting same. This is not a restore to original but repair and update to make functional. Sorry bout that but this is like the car condition called a "driver".

Will have a lot of posts to make before I'm complete. What the heck do I call the '66 or more accurately that vintage when I'm searching and or posting?

Thanks, Robob2003. '66 16'cc/rps sounds good to me. Could be a little more descriptive as '66 16'cc/rps/bd, but '66 16' will do for many and '66 16'cc/rps will prob do for all.

Gene,

First and Foremost, you have a Sakonnet model. You also have a Montauk model as you mention..

The first search I would start with is a Sakonnet, or a Montauk.
This is the model of boats you have.

After that, you could start searching for different years but you may not find much different. I am not sure about the Sakonnet, but the Montauk has not changed much through the years until 2002 with the newest Montauk. Sure, a few console changes, a little less Teak as the time went on, and a few other variations, but it is still a Montauk...

Bottom Line, you have a Sakonnet... Do a search for a Sakonnet..
A Sakonnet is a Sakonnet... It will never be anything else no matter how you modify it... You may modify it to look different, but it will always be a Sakonnet... Unless of course you strip it completely and then it will be a Bare Hull.... But, when it left the factory, it left the factory as a Sakonnet and this information will always be available from Boston Whaler via the Hull Identification Number, and Boston Whaler will tell you that it left the factory as a Sakonnet.

Do I need to say anymore... Oh, bye the way, you have a Sakonnet, no matter what year it is......
