My wife called me this morning while I was at work. She was driving down the road and found a 13ft Boston Whaler for sale. Stopped and talked to the man that owned the boat. It seems that this is an older 13ft. the gentalman told her he thought it was a 1955. We know better don't we? Anyway, it has a 35 merc. all new wood seat and she said a little wood console. Asking price $900.00. I think I will go take a look. Now is that a good wife or not? tim |

whalertim, that his-n'-hers post of yours of last April or May has made the circuit around these parts, not by me, mind you. My bride got such a kick out of your version and your bride's response post that SHE sent it to all the fishing women and fishermen's widows she knows. Thought Ah had the champion boat bride, but your honey takes the cake. If you own a dog, it already knows what you best keep in mind, namely, that you better do what you can t'keep kept by that one. Ah'm convinced, she's about as good as it gets:-! |

My wife gives me a dirty look if she even sees me looking at the classifieds. Luckily, salmon is her favorite food. Tony |

Sorry, Sir, but Ah was obviously confused and befuddled. Here is the post regarding the champion bride to which Ah referred: http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005171.html One can't help but admire the way your bride thinks, though. |

That's great! I've been threatening to sell my boat for several months, since after getting my dad out of a financial jam I've been in a pretty tight situation myself. No matter how bad it got, my wife insisted that I keep the boat. Things have gotten cleared up with my dad, and I've been thinking again of trading up to an outrage. She says that's ok, I can sell the boat if I get another one. With a new baby on the way, I'm not making any big plans, though. |

Eric, Good choice. Going beck to the title of the post and as someone who has recently (mid Feb.) lost a good wife and has just now with this post started talking about it publicly, keep her at all costs. A “good wife” always says (even after 12 boats in 20 years) “it’s up to you honey. I trust your judgment.” A good wife also says stuff like “Wake me up at three in the morning when you get back from steelheading above the dam, but only if you have fish.” And “electronics are good if they bring you home so spend what you want. Sounds like it must have been Brad Paisley? on the radio singing “Ah’m gonna miss her”.

The wife and I were married 20 years this past June 25th. She is my solemate in life. we fish togeter, camp together, hey we do everything together. When a man has a good wife in his life, he better tell her everyday just what she does mean to him. tim |
