I went to Lake Rabun in Northeast Georgia this weekend and saw this Nauset? hanging in our friends parents' boathouse. I took a few digital pictures because this boat was in such good condition. I think everything (less motor and throttle is original) I like whalers but do not quite know how to tell which older models are which. http://pigseye.kennesaw.edu/~gmatson/images/Whaler/

Greg- thanks for the pictures. That is one nice original Nauset. I have one just like it. I love the way they store it, would never have thought of this had I not seen it. No bottom paint to deal with, hull easy to clean. Demonstrates the Hull strength of a Whaler, glad I own one.. |

Thank you whalersmanNice photos Greg This does have original steering wheel and compass. I'm redoing my '68 and have acquired fuel tanks like this and guess they are meant to be pulled out - after removing that big dowel - filled and pushed back up in there. I will learn how to move and open urls, cause I know I've missed many shots of all of your whalers in the past. I thought geocities was in a dimension beyond this old computer. Thanks again

Whalerman, The pictures are beautiful.
I am refurbishing a 1966 Sakonnet and envy your console, which I will be rebuilding and revarnishing along with the reversible seat this Winter. Where did you get the white rubber or plastic spline to go around the glass pieces? Thanks for your answer. Bob on Tampa Bay
