Does anyone happen to know the proper length for the handle that raises and lowers the centerboard on a BW Squall? Mine is missing and I will fit a piece of threaded rod in with a handle on the end, but I dont know how long it is supposed to be.

Thanks

Chris,

Just walked down to my squall "Snoopy", between the thunderstorms, and measured the centerboard handle. It's approximately 7-1/4" between the inside of the threads. I would estimate 3/8" to 1/2" of thread either end (but I didn't unscrew it to check. So overall length should be 8-1/4" (give or take).

I have the Whaler engineering drawing for the assembly, It's not dimensioned, but I can scan and send it to you if you like.

Bob.

Bob- Thank you very much for the info. I don't need the drawing scanned - I will make it up with the 7 1/4" in between as you said. I was concerned that too short wouldn't work easily and too long would be in the way. Thanks for taking the trouble to check it out

Chris
