I spoke to a local Whaler dealer last week. He stated that Boston Whaler is making an 11 that should be out the end of August. He said the price tag would be around $6,500.00. Has anyone heard of this new model?

What year is this '83 or '03... Well I guess the more things change the more they stay the same. I will say that I see more and more 130s and 150s around the Cape than I see classics nowadays.

What used to be called "Classics" for 2003, are now called "Legends" for 2004. The 110 Sport is one of these. Look here:

Oh yeah... there's tender version (no steering console) available with a motor, or with just oarlocks.

I'm taking the night off, but I have to post here.

I'm dyeing to see one, I'm gonna call my local whaler dealer tomorrow and see if they have one on the floor I can look at.

I like how the steering wheel is in the middle in the sport model,in ruff water I find myself sitting in the middle on mine and steering with my right hand.

From the picture of the 11-tender the bow hook looks very high on the hull, anyone else notice this?

Wonder how come the description says "side console" but in the pictures it is centered?

They have also continued their new tradition of making the boats heavier and reducing the hp rating. The 11-footer now weighs 400 lbs., with the tender rated from 5 - 15 max hp, and the sport version 5 - 25 hp!

They also did away with the Ventura 160, the Defiance 350 and, of course, the Impact 120.

Wasn't the max on the old 11' 20 hp? It definitely wasn't any more than the current 25 hp rating.

jaccoserv,

I'm sure the old one weighed less that 400lbs. Heck, the old 13 weighed just over 300!

jaccoserv,

Yes the old max was 20hp.

Has anyone seen one in person yet? I'd really like to see one.

As I recall my old standard 11' weighs 250lb and fits in the back of a short bed F150, well sort of, it'll ride back there. The davit we use is rated for 500lb so we can leave the 2 stroke 15 HP on when lifting. The new one weighs more and the davit lift is out with 15 four stroke attached, but... that is a great looking boat. B...
