Iam considering purchasing a 1973 19' outrage. I have read some posts stating that it has a rough ride. My intended use is for salmon fishing Lake Michigan. Would this be a poor choice?

You will be very happy with that boat.

It is rated for 5000 lbs of people, motor(s), gear and salmon.

Ride will be rougher than a deep V hull but it only draws about 10" of water.

I agree with Happy! This is one great/versatile hull and is completely self bailing (you can operate with drain plug out!) and will perform with 65hp min to 170hp max. I ocean fished in one (off the NE Fla. coast) with a 150hp Merc for several years and wish I still had the rig! happy Whalin'... Clark... Spruce Creek Navy

I have one, and its a great boat. It might not be a smooth a ride as some deep V boats, but it will get you there and back in one piece. I have had mine since 1990 and have no plans to sell it yet.
