Thank you all for your tremendous input and response to the T-shirt survey! Do to the overwhelming request along with the decision of the T-shirt committee we are going to offer BOTH LONG SLEEVE & SHORT SLEEVE IN DESERT TAN & RED ONLY!!! I apologize for the poor quality of these photos, however you can see for yourselves that you were all right about the colors (3 out of 4 requests for long sleeves asked for tan & red). So here we go http://216.196.239.66/cw/shirt/shirt.html If I can free up my Web developer, we should have an ordering page ready to go next week. Thanks, Jay |

So my initial request was just an "indication of interest(IOI)"? Just don't want to double order. Taking Paypal again Jay? |

Yes Nick we will have paypal set up. No critch, the shirtman's artist wants to show us of few samples of her idea for the front. The back is the way it will be. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks, Jay |

Thanks... The back is solid, very cool - its the "sad-expression" logo on the front I am concerned about. What if....
I can't do it... like jimh has it on the site... Wouldn't that look better? No?

How about doing the continuousWave logo in a sine wave or a cresting/breaking ocean wave? |

Hate to chime in after all the hard work that's been done, but... I second critch and dgp. Esp dgp's suggestions/thoughts. I'll purchase a couple no matter what. They look great!!! Now all I need is another Whaler to replace the Montauk! It will be good to have the t-shirts while waiting. Thanks. |

critch and Arch, The original design was the same as Jim's FORUM WHALER logo above, but with continuousWave on there. Boston Whaler put a stop to that because they think that it's too close to their logo(I know what you think because I didn't think it did either) so let's not go there. The artist wants to keep the arched continuousWave.com with a Whaler logo or the sine wave under it. We tried to do the continuousWave.com in a sea wave way but it didn't work. Please feel free to post your ideas, it ain't a done deal yet. Also, we will have a Paypal link and a P.O. Box to order. Thanks, Jay |

Ryan, I'm with you on the size but that's the biggest they can make it on a pocket because of the machine they use. |

A CALL FOR HELP I know we have some good artists and good designers out there. If you can come up with a good design that uses continuousWave.com for the front of the T-shirt please attach it to an email and send it to cwshirt@yahoo.com . Please remember we have to fit it on a pocket. If we use your idea, I'll buy you a shirt! Thanks, Jay |

I have just received Whaler's OK to put a Whaler Logo or any Whaler Model Photo under the arched continuousWave.com. How about a silhouette of a Montauk? |

Hey, they look great. You might want to move the back logo so it is down a bit from the neck, but you can be the judge of that. As to the front, i would add the whaler loge on the arch of the continuouswave.com line but that would be it. Keep it simple, and set up the ordering! j |

I have the artistic talent of a rock, but what about something abstract for the front, like this? http://www.engr.udayton.edu/staff/lriggins/Whaler/CW.jpg I'm sure there are many here who could do a much better image of "the smirk." -- |

Would it be possible to get one shirt printed up with a mis-spelling of Continuous Wave to send to jimh? Wouldn't that be a hoot? Don't tell him though. The above comments are meant purely to incite a smile, laugh or any other such expression of humor in the reader. They contain absolutly no sentiment of sarcasm nor are they intended to provoke, poke, prod or incite any feelings of anger or hostility. |

I like it Moe we did something like that first but had the poo-poo from Whaler but now it's lifted. So we now have the smirk, the Whaler logo, and the silhouette of a Montauk under the continuousWave.com so far. Any more ideas? I'll have the artwork and new ideas tomorrow for the comitee and then we'll flip a coin and get this thing rolling. Thanks, Jay |

I know this will sound a little corny but is there anyway we can recognize jimh? How about 'jimh' in small letters on the sleeve? Even after reading this it sounds idiotic but I'm hitting enter anyway. |

I had a T-shirt with a large BW logo on the front and on the back a smaller logo and underneath that in larger letters "My back's broke, but not the boat!" |

Arch, That's because it is idiotic. :-) I'm not wearing no shirt with the name of a middle aged guy on the sleeve. We'll look like a bunch of queers. |

You already have Whaler's logo on the back, so do something different for the front. I personally think Moe's design looks very cool. A little more mystique than a silhouette Montauk. |

I like Moe's smirk under the logo on the pocket. It is representave of most of the Whalers. I know some of the smirkless Whalers will not like it but I think there are more smirks then non-smirks. It looks like a Whaler! |

What if theres the logo for CW straight across the top of that signature classic 11,13,15 hull...? Not one person on this site could ever say they didnt like these milestone models, regardless of which whaler they own. Here is a lame Atari version of what I was thinking... ContinuousWave.Com |

To me, the smirk front profile really defines Boston Whaler, even though it wasn't the original. I know I made the sponsons too large, but that was the best I could do with MS Word's Draw Tool, which I'm not really proficient with, in a coupla minutes out of our insanely busy first week of school here. I really would like to see what a talented individual with the right tool could come up with. BTW, the font is Impact italicized. -- |

Lots of good Ideas noted above, both of the shirts look great and regardless of what color they come in you can count me in. I am still partial to white w/ red printing...as it repersents whaler graphics i.e. white hull, red lettering etc... I agree that the "continuouswave.com" graphic deserves some real special design work. I liked the idea of the cresting/breaking waves. When combined with the Boston Whaler reference on the back it pulls the two together nicely. Whaler has spent millions promoting their boats and their logo is recognized world wide. Emphasis here should certainly be on the promoting the site. I wonder if the numbers requesting tan shirts represents those that own whalers with desert tan Hulls over those with white hulls :-)? Good Job to all that have been working on this project.

I love the desert tan shirt. I love the pocket. Of course green would be better than red but I'm flexible:) Jay I like the Montauk or the smirk. No need for another whaler logo. If nothing else the harpoon is another great idea. Maybe a small logo on a sleeve or on the long sleeve shirts run a harpoon down each one. Aw hell, just make the darn shirst so I can still wear one in 2003;) |

FWIW, our '03 150 has a tan interior on a white hull. Either shirt color will work, but our Whaler ball caps are tan. -- Moe |

Some kind of format like this with Continuous Wave would look best on the pocket. You don't want the whole shirt to be too busy, But that front right now looks like a Hanes T with a stain on the pocket- we need to fill that pocket space up. |

Can you get different sizing on the back? It looks way too high, and a little too small. One more size up should work the best. What is this artist using to do this? Are they using computers or free-hand silk screen? If they are using a computer, they should be able to scan any image you give them, and resize it accordingly. Not to suggest that this isn't appreciated, but if the shirt looks silly, no one will want one. We can make a really cool single color shirt with ease. |

Simple is the best, but bigger font would be good. You want someone that approaches you to see it. |
