What is it with this Whaler obsession I have to keep wanting more Whalers? Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? Over the past few years I have bought and refurbished 3 different types of Whalers, 16 Nauset, 17 montauk and a 21 Outrage. Now, I have a '65 Eastport which needs restoration and I just bought an 18 Outrage! My wife things I'm nuts. I don't seem to know which one I want for good until I try them all so, I just keep finding different models and like a kid in a candy shop, I gotta have 'em. Today, I was driving around my town and saw a '95 15' Dauntless on a car dealers lot. It was Mint. I haven't even taken the 18 Outrage out yet and for some reason I stopped to look at the Dauntless ??? It's a good thing I'm broke from the last purchase or I would have shown up in my driveway with it! Maybe I should stay off EBAY, the local classified sites and this website for a while until I get over this continuous wave Whaler disease I've developed. From all the T shirt orders I've seen, it must be extremely contagous. Signed, Whaler poor...but havin fun! |

You just have a bad case of whaleritis. You will have it the rest of your life if you are lucky;-)!

LOL I see what you are saying. I'm totally new at boat-owning, just bought my first boat, a 1986 13' SS, about one month ago. And guess waht? I just bought my second whaler today! Found a nice 1968 13' sport ( first saw it while shopping for my 1986 ) and the guy reduced the price till I couldn't pass it up. I just love that blue interior I guess! Anyway, Whaler obsession is very fast acting! Dan |

Whaleritis is a social disease, spread by casual contact for which there is no cure... only constant treatment! Enjoy... Clark .. Spruce Creek Navy |

When you see stuff like this http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005864.html it causes withdrawl symptoms. Makes you look at every "raggedy" whaler out there and see some potential. |

And I thought it was just me. On my third Whaler in 14 months. Can't seem to figure which one is going to be best for me. I plan on sticking to the 22 for while, then perhaps a 25, then a good 27 CC with a pair of Yam's new 300HPDI's.... of course I've got to take care of the kids - that's only fair. yeah, I know they are only 8 but I'll start with an 11 Super sport, graduate to a 13, followed by a nostalgic 15 with 75 FICHT. Oh- I'll keep em all- start my own little fleet...... I ordered the t-shirts (both long a short sleeve for the on and off season). No there is no cure- |

I just got done with my 18' Outrage and I'm already thinking maybe a '81- '83 Revenge 22 W/T, or a Revenge 22 Cuddy, maybe a Temptation or even a GTX18. I got it bad! Mike |

If it makes you feel any better, I'm ordering a 2004 Harley Davidson Sportster (for Spring delivery) tomorrow. A little sex once in a while doesn't hurt either. It's not just BW's. |
