Hello all, i am the new owner of my first b/w and the more i figure out, the more questions i have. I just picked up a 1993, 19' Outrage II. The boat is a fresh water boat and is in good shape. The glass is oxidized but is going to be rubbed out and waxed this week. I have tested a few spots on the hull and deck and the results are great, the boat is going to look great. I will post some pictures later.

What is the deal with the built in fuel tank? It this a huge problem? I see a few posting and i am worried. My tank was almost empty when i bought is but i didn't figure it would be a problem. I have crawled all around the boat and didn't smell any strong gas smells. I figure i am OK, I hope. I am going to put 25-30 gallons in it this week. The needle is below 1/4 tank right now.

Do any of you have recommendations on props? I have a 93' Johnson 150 Oceanrunner. I would be interested in hearing some top end speeds and fuel usage if possible.

What about the wash down pump? I have the switch on the dash but no pump or supply nozzle to hook up the hose. Has anyone installed this feature on boats that came without this option? No aerator in the live well either.

Also, the roll down door on the cc is missing, where can i get a new one or what are other options?

Any help you guys can give me with this boat would be appreciated. It has some very cool features and I have very excited to get this restored.

I also need canvas so if any of you have some in good shape please let me know.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing some of your suggestions. If you have pictures please let me know how I can view these as well.

I have the same boat but with a 150 Yamaha. If you are not sure about how old the gas is get rid of it before you fuel up. The tank holds 60 gallons and avoid ethenol gas if possible. The tank should not be a problem, I consider mine an asset as there are no topside tanks on deck.

I have this same boat and well and we love it.

I have a '92 Johnson "silver star" on this boat and tried a few props and ended up with a 21" pitch stainless which tops out at maybe 47 MPH at just over 5500 RPM. I first tried 19" prop but it ran over 6000 RPM at WOT so I upped to pitch and it has seemed to work well since.

I also have the switches for the fresh water wash down and a couple of other things which aren't connected up to anything, but it is really easy to just flip the console up on this boat and check what switches are connected.

As for the roll-down door, that may be a challenge which could take some creativity. For OEM stuff you could try asking someone at Whaler or even calling Sue at Twin Cities Marine for help. Otherwise you will probably have to do some digging around on your own to come up with a solution.

Good luck in getting these things sorted out and you are going to love this boat!

thanks for the tips. i have posted some pic on whaler central if you would like to take a look. i am wondering if you guys had the same OMC motor on your boats before you repowered. I am having the engine torn down and rebuilt as i type. should be ready in about two-three weeks. thanks again, any tips on this boat would be helpful.

I have this boat but it is a 96 with a 150 evinrude oceanpro. I had the washdown pump installed under the center console with the pick up in the bilge via a thru hull fitting. I access the hose at the port starboard side door in the center console. I do not know about the 92 model but mine has a 72 gallon tank. I have not had any fuel tank issues as of yet. My engine has a 1500 hrs on it and is still going strong but this year we added a 72 lb thrust engine mount trolling motor. It is a 24 volt system with both batteries mounted under the center console. 3 hrs troll time at a constant 2 mph. The baitwell on my boat is used for extra tackle storage.
