What about self bailing hulls?

I don't think that Boston Whaler boat owners in New York have to worry. Boston Whaler boats do not have enclosed bilge spaces. If it is beige filters that are required, they will coordinate well with the hull color.

"Boston Whaler boats do not have enclosed bilge spaces."

Better to restate as "Not all Boston Whaler boats have enclosed bilge spaces." My 27 Whaler WD has a traditional bilge and water in the traditional bilge space is removed by two bilge pumps, one at mid-ship and one in the stern. That is pretty typical for a boat this size.

Hmm, let's see...the filtration system saves a few drops of oily discharge until the boat sinks because the filtration system bcomes clogged and when the boat sinks, instead of trapping a small mount of oil, now we have all of the oil and fuel kept on board discharged into the water. Brilliant -- what will they think of next?

The bilge filtration movement is probably being sponsored by the Parker-Hanafin lobbyists.

More bright ideas. How many agencies, and brain pans, did it take to think that one up....I guess we will have to put filters on drain grates next. All of those light oils permeating from the tarmac and all....And what about all of that eucalyptus oil those darn trees are dropping? How many toungues do you have to press to get a bottle of toungue oil? That is my question!

What if you have oily skin. Do you have to shower before swimming in the ocean?
