Is there a way to see a list of CW members? The reason I ask is location. From reading posts I can see groups of members in the upper east coast, middle east coast, great lakes, southern Florida, Washington area and a couple areas of California. It is interesting to read about boating, fishing and life styles of the CW members from different areas. Thanks, |

Slick 50, I know I'm not answering your question about a list, but since I have never seen a fellow Texan in any of the posts I've read, I took this opportunity to let you know there is at least one more of us out here. James Ward Granite Shoals Tx.(Highland Lakes Area, Lake LBJ) |

Hi James, Thanks for the reply. I have read of about a half dozen or so in Texas, bet there are way more. Did talk to a CW member named Jessie in Matagorda, he has a 25 Outrage, friendly person. I bought my Montauk there and learned he knows the man I bought it from. Is a list against privacy standards? |

Slick 50 I recently bought my 190 Montauk in Austin, TX. I live in Big Spring (western desert) and do my boating at Lake Texoma and Lake Brownwood. Keith |

There are lots of Texas members here. I don't think there is a list of members with their profiles that you can access readily, though. |

I would hope there is not a readily accessed LIST! Several have done ???surveys??? they may help you. Simply ask if anyone wants to talk or lives in your area and they will by their own choice contact you ,,,,, or not. |

Slick 50 I recently gave a talk about my book Only In America to a Yacht Club here in Redodondo Beach CA. They boaters were fascinated by the ICW and the fact you can go from Ft. Lauderdale to New York and only go into the open ocean for 14 miles. They were also amazed by the stories of the Hudson River, Erie Canal Great Lakes, the Mississippi and other rivers and the GICW to New Orleans were My point: It appears many boaters are interested in learning about boating in different locations. I wonder what the feasibility is of creating a site (perhaps through CW Jim, as if you don't do enough already) where boaters from around the country, and maybe the world, could create a (max) five minute video showing their local boating areas and explaining the points of interest. I'm sure there are a host of reasons why it might not work but I believe they're is one big reason why it would, boaters love of boating. John |
