We went to the Seattle Boat Show Tuesday.
Articles written said there was about 20% less vendor space sold this year. Seemed more like 30% to us.

Nice Boston Whaler display.
Whalers included the new 130 and 150 Supersports.
110 Sport was priced $1500 more than the 130 Supersport. (freight not included in advertised 130 price).

Local Grady White dealer had a nice display also.
Those Grady's sure have nicer interiors than the Whalers.
Very high quality. Their seats are some of the best I've ever seen.

I still give Whaler the overall edge, though. The larger Grady Whites still will not float level when swamped.
With the very cold PNW waters, that may be a life and death issue.

Second trip to the Show this year. The Qwest Exhibition Hall was packed Saturday afternoon. People were lined up at the retail marine store cash registers. I did not see any lines waiting to sit down at the BW order table.

110 Sport with 25 Merc. Only $11,500.
345 Conquest w/ triple 250 Verados. Only $320K.
Save $78,900! (MSRP is $398,900?)

Jacobsen's GWs did look nice. I was impressed with the OD of the SS rails. BTW, did you all know that Jacobsen's is moving from Market Street in Ballard to Harbor Ave in West Seattle today (Feb 1st)? Bon voyage and good luck at your new location.

I've boated for over 50 years. How did I get by without all the new electronics? Absolutely incredible stuff. I did see a chart table set up with a parallel arm ruler/course plotter. What a concept!

Did buy a new diesel engine for the sailboat. Goodbye Yanmar 2QM15. Thank you for your faithful 2,800 hrs of service. Hello Kubota Beta 20. We'll do the removal and install ourselves. Hopefully save a few bucks.

Kencvit,

I haven't seen the new NT 26 but I have read comments on another forum that suggested the layout wasn't as functional as the Ranger 25 or 29. Still, the NT 26 is built heavier than either of those boats, but that comes at the cost of trailerability. If you are interested in small tugs check out www.c-brats.com...quite a few R25 owners on there.

We did see the new Nordic Tug 26 at the Seattle show.
Loved the original 26 and this one was equal to or better than the original.
The one at the show was a Skipper Cress "Northwest Package" version.
With a 115 HP Cummins diesel and well equipped, it was advertised at $197,075.
If I remember right the original 26 had a 50 HP diesel (Perkins, I think) and would go forever on a gallon of fuel.
They are beautiful, well made boats.

20dauntless, Thanks I`ve studied the C-Dorys , Rosboroughs and I was on a Ranger25 for a ride at the Miami show last year.
All nice but not the tank that the Nordic Tug`s are.
I would not be trailering. One day I hope to buy a used Nordic Tug 32 as a summer liveaboard....but I`m curious about the 26 too.

shipskip, you'll love the Kubota. In a prior life I bought millions of dollars worth of Kubota Industrial engines as a purchasing manager. They never missed a delivery and whenever there was a problem they had the parts in the air before we even knew anything was wrong.
I also had one in my Kubota tractor. Never a problem - just loved it!
