I'll be signing the paper work this week for a new left over 2007 Dauntless 180. It has Merc Verado 150 on it. The dealer is Island Marine Center in NJ. After a month of trading email and speaking to him over the phone I finally meet Rick Castellini at the boat show Sunday. I can't say how nice its been dealing with a standup guy. If anyone is looking to purchase a Whaler I highly recommend this dealership. They are taking my 170 in trade. Were trying to get the deal wrapped up in early April, as soon as I can get my boat out of rack storage. They'll be installing my supplied VHF and GPS. I've decided to go with 2 battery setup with a BEP battery switch. Spring can't get here soon enough.

They saw all the photo's and information. I've had the boat up for sale for about two months. I had a 8-10 tire kickers but thats about it. I have it listed on 4 sites. I'm happy with the trade amount I'm getting.......but if i can sell it before the trade in that would be even better

Remember you are saving roughly 6% in sales tax by trading it. So you need roughly $900-1200 more than what they are giving you to make it whole.

You finally did it? I didn't think you would ever make up your mind. What happened to the boat up in Conneticut? That looked like a good deal. I'm driving Ed down the 21st to pick up his new 190.

The 07 in CT sold. This one is a better deal, more money but it also has more options. Believe it or not I like the layouts of the 07 better than the 09. The three of us will have to meet at Turkey Point one Saturday. Are you giving Ed driving lessons?

Yes, I'm going to take Ed out one Saturday afternoon when we get a nice 15 knot SE wind and all the weekend worriors are out there and let him see what real boating is on the Upper Chesapeake. Not really. Ed is retired now so he has the luxury of enjoying the boat through the week while we are at work. You notice I didn't say "hard at work".

I'm shooting to do the sea trail and bring her home April 4th. This all depends on the weather. 5 Years ago we had a few inches of snow then. It will be another few weeks of waiting for my registration numbers, having the boat checked out by my local Coast Guard Auxiliary and adding a few things I want like underwater LED lighting and LED lighting to the cockpit. I hope to have the boat a Anchor Marine by the end of April

The 188 is a very nice boat, but it was lacking some features I was looking for.
