I just bought two new 6-gallon gas tanks for my new 13 SS LTD. Where could I get two anti-slip gas tank mats?

Try Sue at Twin Cities Marine in Wisconsin (920-793-2715), I think she can still get them new (or NOS) from Boston Whaler.

Another option is Dri-Dek; can be used under gas tanks and anchor lockers, easy to trim and inexpensive.

Black Dog...You get the matts from Sue also:) I would stay away from the dri-deck only because it's a mess when you pull it up, all the dirt stays under it and the cleaning is a chore. I once tryed it on my Nantucket..left some ugly, very nice patterned dirt under the decking. I just rolled it up, and cleaned the decking and never used it again...much easier without.

I may get rid of mine, there brand new from sue, when Cygnet comes back on Wed. Ill see...other wise get them from sue...they are not cheap OEM, never is.

I tried Dri-Dek under my 28 gallon Tempo tank and the tank tended to shift even when strapped down.I liked the Dri-Dek because water could flow underneath the mats. I continue to uses Dri-Dek in the stern of my Newtauk to protect the deck from sharp edges of lobster pots.

I went back to the OEM tank mats that have been trimmed to allow the tank to sit flat between the mats. The OEM mats were riveted to the floor. When I removed the mats I filled rivet holes with Marine Tex. To secure the mats to the floor I used 3M 5200 in the four corners of each mat. The fuel tank stays put now.

Like I said in that post...."Although I have used it on my 19, I found some draw backs in doing the entire deck in it. Although it looked nice, it kept dirt and dust in between the deck and the product, so that you could not get the deck cleaned completly with out taking out all the decking material. I found that pulling all that material each time I wanted to cleaning my decking was a waste of time and energy and pulled all of it except in the lockers. It looks great and saves your deck until you need to wash it and then its a real mess...I now prefer to just wash down the BW deck as is...its much easier..."

Its your party, have at it anyway you like...
