Hey guys, here is a video/pictorial review of the 2008 fishing season aboard "Salmon Sucker", my 1991 Outrage 19'. It is a follow up of sorts to the video I posted last year of 2007.

Unfortunately, we lost our Salmon season out here in California, which as you may be able to tell from the name of my boat, is my favorite thing to fish for. So not quite as much video was captured, but hopefully it will still entertain you for a few minutes.

Jasper,

Great stuff. That is what it is all about, friends, fish, open water, Whalers, oh, and the the Stella!

I have to get out to the West coast and try fishing out there someday. If you California guys (Matt, Tony, and Warren as well) want Salmon you are always welcome to come over to our West Coast, Lake Michigan that is, and enjoy a day of Salmon fishing off the Guardian. Can not always promise fish but, can promise a good time.

Cheers,
Jeff

BTW, Always loved you boat and how it is set up. Twins and that leaning post A+.

Excellent vid;

Would suggest a sock mike to improve the audio.

A home made mike sock would work just as well !

Yes,
Very good times out there fishing and just cruising.
It is better to bonk the fish outside of the cooler though.
One,maybe two good hit at back of the head while holding it by the gill should do the trick.
I have enjoyed your adventures and will look forward to seeing more later.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Jeff. You have my "dream boat" so some day I may have to take you up on that offer. And on that note, if your ever out west and need a Halibut fix, you know who to call. Thanks for the compliments on the boat too.

Ritzy, I find the easiest way is to bonk the fish while it's still in the net, and sometimes still over board. It eliminates all the slime and scales on the deck too as I am a clean freak. I'm impressed my fishing partners still fish with me, haha. I'm going to try to make a conscious effort to take more video footage this year.
