Does any have the contact for Pate Plastics?

Pate is out of business. Ethanol made their formerly excellent product unusable, and they pulled the plug.

For information about the effects of gasoline-alcohol fuels on fiberglass resin fuel tanks, please see the prior discussion on this topic:

Thanks for the update. I do not know the age of my tank - they are excellent tanks - but so far, my tank is not showing any of the signs of being affected by ethanol. However, I am still contemplating changing the tank. I just hate to get rid of such an excellent product.

They were a unique product.

It sure seemed perfect.

I have purchased 4 pate tanks in my lifetime

The last one purchased in 2005 had a pinhole leak in the top corner.

They did repair it but it was a real hassle to clean the tank and ship it to pate.

Back in 2002 I was in Miami and I visited their 'factory' to meet Barbara and Chris and purchase my Pate tank. Really nice people.

It was a real mom and pop operation with lots of moulds and stuff all over the place. In a real rough section of Miami. I am sure the EPA would not allow anyone to start up that type of operation today.

Next whaler will have a built in tank .

What are the tanks made out of on the 19 Montauk?
