Here is an email I got recently from a participant who was asked to please conform to the very minimal requirements of style in writing regarding capitalization. We have never made any mention of spelling. I reproduce the body of the email verbatim. Be warned the contents are very vulgar. Don't read further unless you are not easily offended. This guy is quite twisted:

Not really--this fellow has shown us his real nature.

The funny part is he has taken ten times more time and effort to post all of this vitriol than it would have taken to capitalize a few pronouns and start each sentence with a capital letter.

I have removed the dozen or so vulgar and banal insults from Vic of the Bayside, New York area, ip address 173.52.243.169. We don't tolerate banal and vulgar writing.

This poor fellow used so many vulgar terms with so much sexual innuendo that the topic-related advertisements showing in one forum changed to a singles dating site. Now that is quite funny.

I just started composing my posts in a word processor then copy and paste. It seems easier than free hand, and hopefully I write more intelligently.

Jim you have a thankless job, but thank you anyway for your great site.

I was thinking of writing a book about evil people. I guess there are some everywhere you look.

Personally, I value a forum where English is used. I may not always utilize proper Spanish or English, but I believe it is important if I am trying to get a certain point across. JimH, I applaud your use of proper English and encourage its use on other forums.

Jim - any forum software I have ever used allows complete deletion of the post by the admin/moderator. I'm sure yours does too - what is your motive for leaving it here with your [deletion] adds?

You are still giving him what he wants by leaving it there and also littering up the board.
