SRwhaler	posted 05-26-2009 12:56 PM ET (US)         Hi all. I need to move my bimini back about a foot to allow for rods and antenna and was wondering about the wood placement for drilling new holes on top of the gunwhale. 1965 Montauk style Thanks!

Hoosier	posted 05-27-2009 11:12 AM ET (US)             So did mine on my 1986 Montauk. There is no wood in the gunwhales, that was added later. I'd also use some really good 3M Auto Trim adhesive tape, in addition to the screws, under the full length of the slider to spread the load.
