Those guys were poor shots. Too many splashes and no hits. I would have put them in for remedial basic gunnery training when I was an ordinance sergeant :-)

Uh, Whaler should add 'bulletproof' to their advertisements.

Bear in mind that they are shooting from a small boat that's
rocking pretty good.

And some of the weaponry was lighter than .50 cal.

From the lettering on the hull side "Marina" it appears that this recording was made with a South American navy.

They were practicing firing warning shots. The target boat is owned and loaned out for this operation by the Chief Bos`n Mate, and the gunners, all Seamen Apprentices straight from gunnery school were told they would be doing pushups forever, if they put a bullet hole in the Chief`s boat.
