These girls read Only In America and it motivated them to jump in a Duroboat, which their father builds, and attempt the great loop. They started in Chicago and have made it to Destin, FL. Maybe keep an eye out for them and help them out if you are able. http://www.boatinglife.com/article/Travel/Blog-In-Their-Dreams They invited me along for a leg of the trip. We were at a dinner party when I asked my wife if I could take off for a week and travel with two 22 year old girls on 16-foot boat. All the guys said go for it, all the wives gave me a look that, well let's just say I'm surpised the electrical panel was still in tact. John |

http://www.boatinglife.com/article/Travel/Blog-In-Their-Dreams Sounds like a fun trip, unfortinualy, the writer lacks story telling skills to make the reading interesting. rich/Binkie |

Very cool John. No matter the writing skills it is still a great story. Is there a website where you can follow their daily progress in real time? |

John, You probably should have couched the request as something like "I need to attend a very important publicity event that will undoubtedly provide a significant boost to sales of my book" to have had any chance of attending. Still, nice to get invited (ya still got it, man). Thanks for posting the link. |

Here's another link. This info is posted on Duroboat's website. I don't think they have anything set up to follow the voyage in real time. I've yet to meet Katie, Elizabeth or their father, Larry, but we've corresponded via e-mail quite a bit. They seem like really good people. And if someone could remind me how to post an "active" link I would be much abliged. I'm sure I've been so advised at least once. I'll write the instructions down again and, this time, try to remember where I put them. http://www.duroboat.com/NewStuff.htm Thanks, |
