While out on the Puget Sound this weekend, I saw some rare birds in the Boston Whaler world. Unfortunately I did not have my camera. I saw a Menemsha 1971, original owner with original everything (nice canvas and console). Some older banana outrages complete canvas sets, and nauset. But I saw one boat that I liked but have never seen before: It looked like a whaler 27' on the bottom, but the upper cabin was streamlined. -- It appeared to have a full cabin, with wrap around windshield. Attached was a canvas set that mated to a fiberglass radar/electronics arch. (The arch was molded glass to the cabin, and not a bolt-on type.) And it had a I/O, with a separate swim platform. The transom was squared, but had a slight curve about the horizon. I think it was a: WHALER 27 Full Cabin WD 29' 1" 10' Does anyone have any pictures. Or is it in T. Clark's catalog collection. |

If is was an I/O it would not be a WhalerDrive model. Infact the 27' was never offered with I/O's only as a straight inboard model which would make it a "WHALER 27 Inboard". |

Sounds like Temptation 25 with an I/O. See http://www.thehulltruth.com/great-lakes/183324-boston-whaler-repower.html. Scroll about 2/3s of the way down. |

I found the boat, a 31'; nice boat. A little bigger than I thought. I wonder how many are in production. Fits the looks, and the layout I saw. (Except these have a tuna towers and this one had a temptation like arch.) http://www.yachtcouncil.com/yacht-models/model-info.asp?model_id=172& builders=307 |
